TECHNIQUE LAYOUT
by Megan Klauer

I love how just folding a strip of paper can add such a great focal point to a layout, card or project. I used a few simple products to create just that.

You'll need:
2 strips of patterned paper {I used 1/2" x 12"}
circle punch {I used 2 5/16" by The Paper Studio}
Sticky Strip {by Stampin' Up!}
Photobucket

1} Punch circle from pattern paper {would work great to use a photo in the center too!} and cut paper strips...
Photobucket

2} Add Sticky Strip to the back of each paper strip & adhere circle to layout or project...
Photobucket

3} Start creating the "ruffle flower" by simply back folding the strip of paper as you continue around the circle using both strips of paper...
Photobucket
Photobucket

and all finished!
Photobucket

and here is how I used them on my layout...

{week in the life...day 7...

Wow has this week went by quickly! I always love to do this challenge, but it seems as the week goes on, I take less and less pictures. Maybe I'm getting Chase's attitude of "no one cares that we're eating cereal", but I do it for us to look back on not to share with everyone what kind of cereal we eat. None the less, I have enjoyed getting my camera in my hand more this week and trying to capture those everyday moments. I have also loved checking out other people everyday lives and thanks to all who have checked out mine this week. {Even if it wasn't all that exciting!}

And now for our lazy Sunday...

Aaron made breakfast as he often does on Sundays if we have time...
{Who am I kidding, he makes most of the meals around here.} I'm pretty lucky, he is great with helping around the house...

And little "e" is pretty fussy today, so we spend most of the afternoon like this...
Photobucket

...with these lookin up at me {smile}...
Photobucket

Aaron & the boys head to the timber again to look for more mushrooms...only 3 this time, but we add it to our mix and Coe helped me make them for supper...
Photobucket

Aaron made turkey on the grill...
It was either his from last year...
Photobucket

or mine...
Photobucket

...I'm not sure, but either way we emptied out a spot in the freezer that we will hopefully be filling back up this coming weekend.

Good-bye week...it's been fun!!!
